Sire of Autumn makes a great part with its opposite from the same set- Sage Of Spring. Balancing basic and nonbasic lands has always been crucial to deck construction, but Sire Of Autumn puts a new twist on the concept, and offers great rewards to the brewers who build most wisely.
Primeval Titan eat your heart out. There’s a new high cost ramp king in town. There is theoretically no limit to the amount of land this guy can fetch in one turn. Most likely you’ll get 4 or 6 lands immediately. Even discluding the ramp aspect, that level of deck-thinning is something to behold.
Scion Of Summer is happy to finish up the job when you’re done. And look, Spring Summer and Autumn all curve into each other!
